Rx FAQ

How do I get the highest discount on my prescriptions

If you are going to use the in-store card, make sure to buy branded generic and generic drugs for the highest discounts (up to 75%.)  Savings on brand name drugs is 14% on average. If you are going to use the mail order, the same rules apply accept you can get discounts up to 90%.  If your doctor will give you a 90 day prescription the mail order will save you the most money.

How can I donate more?

Contact us and we will get you in touch with your charity of choice.  They are always looking for volunteers to donate time and additional donations to help their cause.

How do mail order and in store differ?

With mail order a larger portion of the profit goes to the charity, because of the huge savings we can get.  When the in store is used a smaller portion is sent to the charities because the majority of the profit goes to the retailer.

How do the Charities Benefit?

When you fill a prescription or use one of our services, a portion of the profit goes directly to the chosen charities.

We have been shipping medications for clients from multiple pharmacies around the world for many years.

New Zealand, Italy, India, Canada, and Australia are among the locations dispensing for us.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Your order will be shipped right to your door in approximately 10-15 business days.

Depending on the International Pharmacy you order from delivery times may vary.

Health Matters International recommends placing orders 30 days in advance to ensure you do not run out of any medications.

Do I get charged a shipping charge for each prescription?

No, one shipping charge will be processed per ORDER per country, not per prescription.

Multiple orders going to the same address will only be charged one shipping charge per country.

How can you guarantee the quality of your International products?

We contract with licensed, accredited pharmacies located in New Zealand, Italy, India, Canada, and Australia.

The Canadian government, as well as other countries we choose to ship from, are held to VERY strict requirements for the manufacturing and distribution of medication. These requirements are equivalent to or stricter than US requirements, and all of our sources are US-FDA approved.

How do I pay for my order?

We accept Visa and MasterCard.

Payment will be collected when order is placed.

All prices are in USD and your credit card will be charged accordingly.

Unfortunately, no. Because we are located in Canada, we cannot accept any foreign insurance.

We will, however, provide you with a receipt that your insurance company may or may not accept.

Is there a limit to how much I can order?

Yes, you can only order up to a three month of 90 day supply or each prescription. Limits on days supply dispensed for controlled substances may apply, based on individual physician directives for each prescription.

It is important to make sure your doctor adds three refills to your prescription so that we can use the same prescription for your refills (9 months).

Is a prescription required?

Yes, a valid prescription from a licensed physician is required for all prescription medications that will be ordered.

The prescription MUST be faxed to Health Matters International before the order can be shipped.

Prescription must be in the English language ONLY.

What is the difference between Brand and Generic Medications?

A generic drug is the exact same or a copy of the brand name drug in dosage, safety, strength, quality, performance and intended use.

Price of generic drugs are much cheaper for the exact same product.

Pharmaceutical Brand Name companies have huge investment costs that they must recover so they increase the price of drugs to compensate.

Note: We use the term branded generic to refer to generic versions of brand medications manufactured in India and sold under in-country brand names

Why are Health Matters International prices so low?

One reason is price control. The Canadian and some other countries' governments control how much pharmaceutical companies can charge for brand name products.

In the USA and some other countries the pharmaceutical companies can charge what the market will bear.

Patent laws vary by country and, as a result, generic prices are available in countries that do not have brand name patent laws.

On average, you will save 30-80% ordering your medications from Health Matters International.

Are there limits on usage or an expiration date?

No. You and your family may use the card as often as you like and there is no expiration date.

How much can I expect to save using this card?

The level of savings varies depending on whether you are purchasing brand name or generic drugs and which brand name or generic medications you are buying. The average savings range between 15- 75% off retail prices.
